Started as a dream, now a reality come to fruition!
Our Vision: To deconstruct the systems of white supremacy and racism within health care, creating opportunities for equitable access to doula care through education and doula support.
Our Mission: To create a diverse, sustainable birth doula workforce while simultaneously increasing access to doula services in our community.
Doulas of Duluth was founded by Dana Morrison and Cooper Orla in 2019 - although their dreams for this business started long before that, when they took their 1st birth doula training together in 2016. Both Dana and Cooper have put so much love and energy into making what Doulas of Duluth is today!
The growing team of doulas aligns with their vision to deconstruct the systems of white supremacy and racism within health care, creating opportunities for equitable access to doula care through education and doula support. And, their continued mission to create a diverse, sustainable birth doula workforce while simultaneously increasing access to doula services in our community.
Dana is running the day to day of the business, supporting the team, and continuing the growth of the business. Dana is still taking on some birth clients, so please reach out if you are a repeat client or interested in working with her specifically.
Cooper has stepped back from the business, but has been a huge part of building the business to where it is today and where it will be going in the future. Cooper continues to help us with our social media, internal photography and will always be our biggest cheerleader!
